28th round of Ukraine’s Premier League marked with fierce resistance of two native clubs – FC Shakhtar Donetsk and FC Dynamo Kyiv. Mircea Lucescu’s team didn’t manage to overcome their main opponents in a tense struggle. Therefore, the distance of six points preserved between two teams. Consequently, in the next round Kyiv players can make their do even with a draw to ensure themselves official championship victory.
Shakhtar 2:2 Dynamo
Even a victory doesn’t let Donetsk players pave their way ahead Dynamo in the tournament fixture, that’s why Mircea Lucescu claimed before the match that he expects psychological satisfaction for the previous defeat. However, the hosting team didn’t manage to finish top. Following the tradition, Kyiv players provided counterattacks, thus responding for two goals from Shakhtar. 18th minute passing, the hosts were pushing their way forward: Mariusz Lewandowski brought the ball into Dynamo’s net. This splash made them get a grip of themselves. Eight minutes after Kléber leveled the score. Second half started with a penalty which found its destination into Dynamo’s goal with Brandão’s effort. But Donetsk fans had a short while to rejoice: Diogo Rincon performed a splendid kick, and the score is leveled again. The struggle ended with no more goals scored. Therefore, Dynamo is still unreachable for Shakhtar, but they’ve got a chance to revenge in the final.
Vorskla 2:2 Metalist
Having booked third position in the previous round and obviously not hoping to nudge Sakhtar down from the second position, Myron Markevych’s team didn’t look like they were fully motivated before the match with Vorskla. This downside found its way out on the 8th minute when Denis Glavina, assisted by Armend Dallku, ensured 1:0. Metalist managed to level the score only on the 6th minute of the second half: Dallku bumped away Oleksiy Antonov, and Oleksandr Rykun performed a successful penalty. Vorskla couldn’t put up with a draw. Their trying produced a second goal on the 69th minute by Serhiy Kravchenko. Myron Markevych adequately reacted on such situation substituting Ruslan Fomyn by Papa Gueye who soon brought a draw.
Tavriya 1:2 Zorya
Whereas Crimea players keep struggling with Dnipro for the fourth position in the tournament fixture, Lugansk team dream only about staying in Premier League. Zorya footballers, being tellingly alert at the beginning, opened the score (Dmytro Vorobey scored). Anyway, Crimea players were not going to give up, they made a persistent attack that ended with Lucky Idahor’s goal. Trying hard, Lugansk footballers battled out the positive outcome for themselves. Aleksandru Popovichi fulfilled his mission with 2:1.
